New White Paper Explores GenAI Adoption in Agriculture

Despite the rapid rise of Generative AI (GenAI), with ChatGPT leading the way as the fastest-adopted technology in history, enterprise adoption has lagged, particularly in agriculture.

A new white paper, commissioned by Bayer Crop Science and supported by Digital Green, Kissan AI, and Traive Finance, aims to bridge this gap by providing a blueprint for Food and Agriculture enterprises to move GenAI projects beyond the proof-of-concept stage.

The report, developed by Software is Feeding the World, draws insights from four organizations—Bayer Crop Science, Kissan AI, Digital Green, and Traive Finance — representing diverse agricultural systems and global regions. It outlines key considerations for successful GenAI implementation, including use case development, data infrastructure, talent requirements, and risk management.

This is the first of two reports on GenAI in agriculture, with the second set to release in March 2025, focusing on value creation and capture frameworks. Access the full report here.
