HBK’s Enhanced SensorCloud RTK Makes Precise Positioning Cost-Effective for Autonomous System Developers
New updates to HBK’s SensorCloud RTK service have made the solution more reliable and cost-effective than ever, making precise RTK positioning for autonomous systems significantly more accessible.
SensorCloud RTK is a multi-continent, IP-based RTK cloud network that radically simplifies cumbersome RTK correction pipelines. When paired with compatible MicroStrain by HBK navigation systems, the solution delivers:
- Centimetre-level position accuracy from day one of installation, allowing users to start working immediately without complex setup or calibration.
- Network coverage across the U.S., Europe, and beyond thanks to a high-density base station network.
- Seamless scalability with the option to start with the 3DM-GQ7-GNSS/INS and 3DM-RTK modem for development and testing, then seamlessly migrate to the cost-optimized 3DM-CV7-GNSS/INS for volume production. The SensorCloud RTK subscription model also allows customers to adapt to growing fleet sizes without requiring complex new contracts.
- Professional technical support from experienced Applications Engineers, including technical assistance with initial setup, troubleshooting guidance, and advice on optimizing implementations.
SensorCloud RTK’s accuracy makes it ideal for nearly any situation where precise positioning is essential – including autonomous agriculture, precision drone operations, and legged or wheeled delivery robots.
Now, thanks to HBK’s collaboration with respected localization solutions provider Point One, SensorCloud RTK is more reliable than ever. Point One’s precision location solutions are renowned for their accuracy across a wide range of fields, including vehicle automation.
The collaboration, which begins on 1st June 2025, will also make SensorCloud RTK available at a significantly reduced cost: $650 per year for the software API, and $1,500 per year for the 3DM-RTK cell modem.
