World FIRA: Hexagon Presents Autonomy and Positioning Solutions at Ag Robotics Event in France

Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division will be present at the 2025 edition of the International Forum of Agricultural Robotics (FIRA), which takes place from February 4 to 6 in Toulouse, France, at AGROBIOPOLE. Recognized as one of the world’s leading events in the sector, FIRA brings together leaders, researchers and companies to explore the technologies that are transforming agriculture.

“FIRA is a unique platform to present innovations that can redefine global agriculture. Our commitment is to provide the necessary technological foundations for agricultural machinery manufacturers to face industry challenges, helping the sector increase productivity, efficiency in the use of inputs, and address labour shortages. At the event, solutions that ensure easy integration and safe operation for machines will be showcased,” says Adriano Naspolini, Director of Engineering for Agriculture at Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division.

Event Highlights

Hexagon will be presenting at FIRA 2025 with a booth dedicated to showcasing innovations aimed at agricultural robotics and autonomy companies. The technologies presented include:

  • SMART7 and SMART2: Multi-constellation and multi-frequency GNSS antennas that provide high precision in different operating conditions, ensuring reliability and redundancy in positioning signals.
  • Receiver Boards: Designed for integration into antennas, offering support for high-performance GNSS solutions and flexibility to meet the needs of different manufacturers.
  • Corrections: TerraStar offers centimetre-level accuracy, even in adverse conditions or under interference from natural phenomena, such as scintillation. It ensures reliable positioning, enabling continuous and efficient operations of agricultural machinery in any environment.
  • Perception: Advanced perception technologies that provide situational awareness, enabling autonomous machines to navigate through fields safely and efficiently.
  • Ti10, Core Box and ISOBUS: Tools that enable precise navigation and control of machines, supporting various types of actuators and connectivity. These products help tackle challenging scenarios, offering modularity and safety.

“Precise and reliable control is essential for autonomy. Our products not only meet current demands but also provide updates and flexibility for the future,” reinforces Naspolini.
