Airbus, Agri Technovation Join Forces to Support Farmers

Agri Technovation has announced the integration of Airbus’ Verde crop analytics tool with its digital platform MYFARMWEB. This agreement will ease day to day farming decision-making, assist farmers in facing growing environmental and financial pressures, while supporting the increase in sustainability and profitability of farms.

The Verde service provides a living layer of premium crop analytics derived from satellite imagery, clipped to the field and accurately de-clouded. These physical vegetation measures are easy to ingest in crop models for seamless fusion with other data sources such as soil classification, moisture and weather information. They allow going beyond bare observation to establish an agronomic diagnosis, and eventually to release a farming recommendation.

“Our Verde solution is designed to simplify the fusion of satellite imagery and agronomy. We certainly believe it will improve the current MYFARMWEB capability and ultimately, support farmers’ decision-making. We are grateful for the vote of confidence by Agri Technovation in our product,” said François Lombard, Director of the Intelligence Business for Airbus Defence and Space.

MYFARMWEB is a digital platform and mobile solution developed in collaboration between Agri Technovation and Mezzanine, a subsidiary of the Vodacom Group. It aggregates agricultural data streams from various sources, including field reporting, precision agriculture sensors, end user generated data, and analytical laboratory results. Data is presented to a farmer in a simple and efficient way through a single point of entry. The synergy of data inputs provides real solutions to its users, processed on-the-fly with expedited delivery within hours following acquisition, directly into the MYFARMWEB platform.
