PAQ Interactive’s Quentin Rund Passes

In early February, Quentin Rund, the Founder and CEO of PAQ Interactive, passed away. He was 56.

Rund dedicated his career to the agribusiness industry and ran PAQ Interactive out of Monticello, IL. In fact, he started PAQ due to his interest in technology and agriculture. Some of his accomplishments within the organization was providing services to the following organizations: BioSTL, the InfoAg Conference, Indiana CCA, International Conference on Precision Agriculture, and International Society for Precision Agriculture. He was also the recipient of the 2009 Crop Adviser/Entrepreneur Award winner for Precision Ag Excellence.

The Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association (IFCA), which worked with Rund many times over the past two decades, released this statement: “Quentin was a great friend to the IFCA staff and helped us graciously with various projects over the years. His infectious smile was always a delight to see when he was lending a hand at our annual Convention in Peoria, IL.”

Meister Media’s Eric Davis, Managing Director, Agribusiness Group, had this to say about Rund: “Quentin was very influential in both in the U.S. and global markets. He had a great reputation due to his extensive knowledge and his incredibly friendly demeanor. He was one of ag technology’s biggest advocates. He will be sorely missed as a friend and colleague to many.”
