SVG Ventures | THRIVE Announces Global Impact Summit for Silicon Valley

SVG Ventures | THRIVE have announced their Global Impact Summit, the culmination of a six-month global search for the most innovative startups addressing the number one issue facing society today — climate change.

Finalists selected from the global applicant pool of 500+ startups from across 70 countries will pitch at the summit which will be officially opened by the Mayor of San Jose, Sam Liccardo.

“I’m thrilled to welcome global entrepreneurs, innovators and corporations who are taking needed action to combat climate change to San José,” said San José Mayor Sam Liccardo. “After collaborating with global leaders at COP27, I look forward to continuing our joint efforts to scale innovative climate solutions at THRIVE’s Global Impact Summit.”

The Summit will take place at the San Jose Convention Center on November 17.  A global audience of 500+ agrifood and technology leaders, global startups and major industry players and THRIVE corporate partners such as Land O’Lakes, BASF, Bayer, Corteva, ICL, Kubota, Driscoll Berries, Taylor Farms, UFA, FCC, Alberta Innovates, Intel and more will be in attendance along with delegations from Canada, Australia, Europe, Israel & Latam.

The summit themes which are aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and key themes of COP27, will focus on disruptive innovation and transformational solutions that have the potential for global impact.

In addition to the startup pitches the event will also feature lively panel discussions and keynote speeches from leading industry experts focused on the key summit themes; soil health and biodiversity, increasing food security and reducing and offsetting GHG emissions.
