Solinftec Celebrates 15 Years in the Ag Tech Space — But Here’s Why the Company Has its Eyes on 2050

The time to start thinking about 2050 is now. Solinftec, a global leader in agricultural digitalization, is doing just that.

Celebrating 15 years of experience developing digital ag solutions for the largest agricultural operations in the world, the Solinftec team have their eyes towards the future. By 2050, the planet will be home to approximately 10 billion people. This increase in population increases the demand for food production by 60% — but with same amount of land. With natural resources increasingly scarce, Earth’s climate increasingly chaotic, plus an unpredictable and an unsustainable ag model, the time for a new ag revolution is now and Solinftec is one of the key industry disruptors making some noise and innovating agriculture.

With a goal to change agriculture in order to transform the world, the need to feed the world has made Solinftec seek out new ways to reimagine agriculture. A Brazil-founded company with its U.S. offices in Indiana, Solinftec is revolutionizing how farmers run their business with end-to-end mission critical solutions, generating up to 70% efficiency improvements by turning data into action.

How is the company doing it? Meet ALICE AI

Launched in 2018, Alice AI, is Solinftec’s cloud-based AI SaaS platform powered by real-time field level data. A game changer for the sector, ALICE AI makes operations smarter from start to finish, working alongside the farmer with tech-based action to give productive solutions and real-time corrections; rational use of agrochemicals; reduction of machine idle time and fuel consumption; and improvements to yields and reception of costs, enabling a low-carbon and sustainable agriculture.

MORE BY SOLINFTEC

And ALICE AI has big things ahead of her. Solinftec recently announced the launch of its new cutting-edge AgTech robot device, Solix Ag Robotics – a Solix Sprayer Robot and a Solix Scouting Robot. This new technology aims to provide farmers and agronomists a new level of information to increase yields, improve the usage of inputs, lower environmental impact, and support the global demand for food supply. Solix is integrated with ALICE AI, capturing information directly from the crops. Programmed with a neurological network featuring a complex detection algorithm, the new in-field robotic device has the ability not only to scan for crop health and nutrition, disease, insects, and weeds, but is built to monitor the entire field ecosystem and provide real-time insights. The Solix Sprayer Robot also provides autonomous and sustainable spot-spray applications on grower’s fields.
